About FEA
ABOUT
Financial Education Associates’ (FEA) mission is to serve Massachusetts residents by providing unbiased homebuyer education to help them achieve their dream of homeownership. FEA is committed to supporting individuals in organizing their finances effectively.
Since its establishment, FEA has been a cornerstone in the community, offering a wide range of services to empower individuals. FEA has graduated over 20,000 people from its first-time homebuyer classes. FEA continues to partner with organizations to facilitate financial education seminars, online homebuyer, new homeowner and landlord classes, in addition to personalized counseling for graduates of the program. FEA ensures that residents have access to the resources they need to make informed financial decisions around homeownership.
Although Boston-based, FEA has adapted to the evolving needs of its clients. Since 2020, all classes and seminars have been conducted virtually, providing convenient and accessible options for participation. Additionally, on-demand online classes cater to individuals who prefer to learn at their own pace.
Recognized for its commitment to excellence, FEA holds a Seal of Approval from the Massachusetts Homeownership Collaborative (CHAPA) and is an affiliate HUD Counseling Agency. As an active member of the MIDAS Collaborative (www.midascollab.org) and the Citizens' Housing and Planning Association (www.chapa.org), FEA collaborates with like-minded organizations to further its mission of increasing the rate of homeownership in underserved communities.
The organization was founded by Jacqueline Cooper, a pioneer in the industry, who continues to educate residents as part of the FEA team.
